Before the bold colors and brilliant effects, before the film sequences and CGI, there was Doctor Who: produced on a limited budget and a frenetic schedule, shot on videotape, devoid of color pixels… and still absolutely mesmerizing for a generation of fans. We will take a look back at the black & white era of Doctor Who, the series’ first six seasons, to discuss its production, its storytelling, the sets and costumes, and why everything that came to light in those early years had an impact on the show we love today.
